I presented my Internet Marketing knowledge to software developers and dealers for the first time, in the accounting field.
In a poll the results were as follows: Out of 50 people
Number that blog – 2 (TRAFFIC, PAGE RANKS, AUTHORITY POSITION)
Number that use Adwords – 2
Number that have submitted an article – 0 (FREE PUBLICITY!!)
Number that have sent a press release – 0 (TRAFFIC and PAGE RANKS)
You can see where I am going with this. And the incredible thing is many of these guys are very newsworthy. They have won awards, year after year, for sales excellence. Can you imagine how much more powerful they would be with a bit of Internet Marketing?
I was teaching them when they move an idea from the offline to the online world, they need to consider the 3 parts to an Internet business that sells:
1. The Right Product
2. The Right Website(s)
3. The Right Traffic
I kept the show at a bare minimum, focusing on the 3 aspects of a successful online business that lasts:
1. Systemize it – make it something that is easily repeated
2. Automate it – use an autoresponder for 24/7 personalized communication
3. Monetize it – figure out how to make money from what you know
Then I took them through the flow of websites and internet marketing, then a taste of the marketing funnel, an overview of traffic generation strategies, and some tips and tricks that I use. It was fun, and well received.
